Tomorrow is special election runoff for City Council District 8 - WDEF

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Thursday is the official runoff day for the special election to District 8 on the City Council.

Marie Mott faces Marvene Noel.

Noel is the interim holder of the seat but Mott lead her in the first special election for the seat.

However she did not get the majority she needed to win it.

Election officials encourage voters to make sure they are going to the voting location.

TOMORROW, September 15, 2022, is the Chattanooga Council 8 Run-Off election. Polls will be open from 8 am – 7 pm eastern.

We advise voters to look at any newer voter registration cards with a print date of 3/19/2022 or newer to see if City Council District 8 is printed on their voter registration card before attempting to go to the polls for the September 15, 2022 run-off. Voters can also verify their district info online anytime by using the voter lookup tool available on our website at: http://elect.hamiltontn.gov/myinfo or by phone Mon-Fri 8 am to 4 pm at 423-209-8683 (VOTE).
