Boulder County, Colorado-The final official results of the 2021 coordinated Boulder County elections are now available at www.BoulderCountyVotes.org.

The final official results include a voting statement, which is a document showing the results of each constituency of each game. As part of the election closing process, the voting statement will be forwarded to the Colorado Secretary of State's office.

Last week, election staff and bipartisan audit committee members (five Democratic-appointed members and five Republican-appointed members) successfully completed the Boulder County portion of the statewide risk limit audit. This is a post-election audit to provide citizens with evidence that the election results listed in the voting system reflect the actual vote of the voters. This process examines how the ballots of the ballots were captured when the ballots were processed by the voting system by comparing the actual physical ballots with the digital ballots captured at the time of ballot processing. In order to conduct the audit, the Office of the Secretary of State randomly selects accurate ballots that counties must review from all paper ballots cast in the election.

The election staff also completed the overall reconciliation process. This process provides the Canvass Board with the necessary data and information to prove that the number of votes counted is equal to or less than the number of votes cast, and the number of votes cast is equal to or less than the number of eligible voters. The reconciliation report is also available online.

This year's Canvass Committee is composed of Boulder County Clerk Molly Fitzpatrick and party representatives from the Democratic and Republican parties. Lynn McNamara represents the Democratic Party. Joseph Green represents the Republican Party.

On Monday afternoon, through a remote video conference, the Canvass Board certified the election results. Canvassing documents, audit documents and voting statements are available at www.BoulderCountyVotes.org.
