Pima County voters will get voter registration cards with important election information in the mail over the next several days.

The County Recorder's Office sent out more than 650,000 updated cards on Wednesday. The cards will show party affiliation and local and state election information such as county districts and city wards.

The cards will also have QR codes that voters can scan with their cell phones to find more information like:

Other forms of ID will still be needed along with the voter registration cards when casting a ballot at vote centers or early voting sites.

County Recorder Gabriella Cázares-Kelly said the new documents should make voting easier.

“We’re extremely excited about these new cards,” Cázares-Kelly said in a press release. “The new design and new ways to access voter information will help Pima County voters in their efforts to cast their votes.”

Voters are encouraged to check the information on their cards right away and call the Pima County Recorder’s Office at (520) 724-4350 if anything is incorrect.
