The government has lost confidence in itself and does not want normal elections so they choose EVM, the JaPa chief says

Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader on Sunday has said that the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) as peaceful rigging machines.

He said: “The government has lost confidence in itself and does not want normal elections. Other than the government and some of its allies, all other parties oppose EVMs in elections. However, the Election Commission has suddenly decided to conduct the elections through EVMs.”

In response to journalists' questions about the ongoing political conflict, the Jatiya Party chairman said that if the elections are not free and acceptable, the conflict will increase.

“The political culture of the country has reached a place where everyone considers the opponent as the enemy. Everyone thinks that the loser will be killed or wiped out,” he added.
