■ Improv Show at Flying Pig Improv | August 19-20 Where: The Flying Pig It’s showtime at Flying Pig Improv! You provide the ideas and we take it from there with games and scenes that will thrill and confound you. Laughter guaranteed.

■ Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment Sale | August 19 Where: Century II Upscale Resale for Savvy Families! Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment Event is Wichita’s largest Children’s Consignment Sale! Hundreds of Families come together to sell thousands of high quality, gently used children’s items for BARGAIN prices!

■ A Summer of Magic: Harry Potter Dome Theater Experience | August 19 Where: Exploration Place Exploration Place is bringing the world of Harry Potter to Wichita! Each week our wizard and muggle guests will watch one movie in the series on the dome screen with booming surround sound. Before the show, participate in themed classes and interactives provided by a variety of Hogsmeade shops and magical places. Butterbeer will flow freely and there will be an opportunity to take home muggle artifacts.

■ Adult Skate Night | August 19 Where: Carousel Skate Center Join us for Adult Night every Friday! Must be 21 with a Valid ID. $10 Cover (skates included). Beer & mixed drinks available. Check out our feature at what to expect here.

■ Fleur by Quixotic | August 20 Where: Botanica Botanica presents Kansas City’s very own, Fleur by Quixotic, a group of over a dozen acrobats, musicians, circus artists and performers, dancers and aerialists weaving vignettes together to provide an immersive multimedia performance inspired by the beauty of nature. Fleur brings an impressive spectacle to the stage through mesmerizing light shows, magnificent colors and live music. With a striking history of debuts in venues such as The Powell Gardens, Union Station, and The Ulrich Museum, the Quixotic crew promises to deliver an exhilarating live performance guests are not soon to forget.

■ Wichita Flea Market | August 20-21 Where: South YMCA Come walk the aisles at the Farha Sports Center at the South Wichita YMCA and shop small through the 200+ booths that include antiques, crafts, vintage items, collectibles, primitives, reclaimed items, comics, artwork, jewelry, toys, and so much more in this monthly flea market operated by a local Wichita Family.

■ Grape Harvest Festival | August 20 Where: Grace Hill Winery For those unfamiliar with the harvest process, all of the Grace Hill Vineyard grapes are picked by volunteers! On Saturday mornings throughout August and September, we head out into the vineyard beginning at 8am, spend the next 2ish hours collecting grapes, followed by a tour of the facilities to watch the grapes as they begin their journey into wine, after which we head inside or to the patio for a barbecue lunch and lots of Grace Hill Wine (or fresh grape juice for the kiddos as all ages are welcome)! And to sweeten the deal a little bit more, all pickers also receive a 20% discount on any items purchased at the winery that day!

■ Kansas Grown Farmer’s Market | August 20 Where: Two Locations: 21st & Ridge and Derby Market Join us every Saturday, April thru October. Featuring dozens of Kansas Grown! vendors, live music, food trucks, Troubles the Clown and more.

■ Wichita Downtown/River Stroll | August 20 Where: Exploration Place Join us as we take a twist in “hiking” with an urban stroll. This event will be an opportunity to invite new friends as it will be sneaker friendly and no hiking sticks are needed, unless you want them!

■ Old Town Farm and Art Market | August 20 Where: Old Town Wichita Open every Saturday, April through December 17th

■ ICT Burger Battle | August 20 Where: O.J. Watson Park This year’s event will put 10 Wichita food trucks head-to-head for the title of the best burger in town!

■ Bratfest 2022 | August 13 Where: Walton’s Inc. This year Walton’s is switching things up.. Get ready, for BratFest! On August 20th, Walton’s will host its first ever BratFest where a $10 early-bird entry donation to the Air Capital Flyers-Special Olympics Program gets you access to mouthwatering samples of the top bratwurst flavors Walton’s has to offer. Try not to fill up to quickly though, Walnut Valley Meat Market and Peabody Sausage House will be here with flavors of their own! Still hungry? Not to worry, there will also be a Bratwurst and Hotdog lunch available with 4 delicious flavors to choose from.

■ 9th Annual Iron ChileHead | August 20 Where: Walton’s Inc. Join in the fun at Iron ChileHead on August 20, 2022 from Noon – 4 PM at Johnson’s Garden Center – 2707 W. 13th St. N. Each participating food truck and brewery creates menus and beers including Johnson’s roasted Hatch Green Chiles, which will be judged by local food and beer judges for the coveted Iron ChileHead trophy! Your vote counts in the People’s Choice Brewery Award, so come support your favorites!

■ 6th Annual Grub & Groove Festival | August 13 Where: Capitol Federal Amphitheater

■ Community Fair Days! | August 21 Where: Old CowTown Museum Free admission for all, plus shop over 50 great local vendors! Food, treats, and great handmade art, home decor, glasses, t-shirts, jellies, jams, local authors and more!
